Comet C/2007 N3 (Lulin)






























Taken on 1 March 2009 using a Canon 40D with a 200mm lens. 60 images each of 10s stacked in Deep Sky Stacker and processed in Photoshop.

Comet 17P/Holmes


































Towards the end of October 2007, Comet 17P/Holmes shocked sky watchers around the world with a sudden million-fold increase in brightness. It literally exploded into view, rapidly becoming a naked eye "star" in the constellation Perseus.
This image was taken on the evening of 4 November 2007

Technical details
Taken through a VC200L telescope at prime focus (f=1800mm, D=200mm) using a Canon 20Da camera. 24 separate images each of 20s and iso 3200 stacked in ImagesPlus and processed in Photoshop.
