The Veil Nebula is a cloud of heated and ionised gas in the constellation of Cygnus. It constitutes the visible portions of the Cygnus Loop, a large but relatively faint supernova remnant. It is around 1470 light years from us.
This image was taken through a Canon 200mm lens and Hydrogen Alpha filter with an Atik 460EX CCD camera. It consists of 20 x 900s sub exposures and was taken on the night of 10 November 2013.
