| To capture these images the camera with
a very wide angle lens (10mm) was driven to allow for the Earth's rotation
and it took 30 second exposures continuously for 2 to 3 hours. Only the
images with meteors were combined to produce the above image. To help with orientation the image below is the same, only with some constellations marked. The radiant (i.e. the point from which the Perseids appear to have come from) is very close to the double cluster. |
