NGC457 The Owl Cluster or ET Cluster

Feeling like something a little less challenging I chose this popular open night target NGC457 in Cassiopeia which is a wonderful site even in a small telescope. It comes under various names, The Owl Cluster, the ET Cluster, the Stick Man Cluster, Jet Plane cluster. Someone visiting our club even saw this as a crocodile.

So as not to saturate the stars only 2 minute subs were needed. This is a result of 16 subs in each of Red, Green and Blue using my Megrez 90 refracting telescope and Atik 460EX CCD camera, taken on the night of 1 November 2016. The star diffraction spikes are courtesy of Noel's actions in photoshop.
