The Orion Nebula - M42

The Great Orion Nebula is in the middle of the “sword” of Orion below the three belt stars. To the naked eye it appears as a fuzzy star but can be seen as nebulosity through binoculars. It is around 1500 light years distant and is the birth place of stars.
