Deep Sky 2017

This year my main interest has been in variable star observing and so only three images were taken in 2017.


IC 5070 The Pelican Nebula in Cygnus

Taken around 11 September 2017 and consists of 22 x 600s in Ha, 6 x 600s in OIII and 7 x 600s in SII and arranged in the Hubble palette with my Megrez 90 telescope and Atik 460EX CCD camera with 0.8x focal reducer and Astrodon 3nm filters.


IC 1396 Elephant Trunk Nebula in Cepheus

Taken around 17 September 2017 and consists of 49 x 600s in Ha, 17 x 600s in OIII,  14 x 600s in SII. The OIII and SII were binned x2, and arranged in the Hubble palette with my Megrez 90 telescope and Atik 460EX CCD camera with 0.8x focal reducer and Astrodon 3nm filters.


Galaxy NGC6946 with a supernova SN2017eaw


Taken on the night of 27 May 2017 and consists of around 2 hours worth of 300s exposures in Luminance.

Equipment: Megrez 90 with 0.8x focal reducer and Atik 460EX CCD camera.
